
Volunteer Executive Director - Believe in Belize
Believe in Belize is an all-volunteer organization that supports community, education, health, and the environment in Belize. We are a fully remote 501c3 nonprofit headquartered in Maryland, USA. Our volunteers worldwide collaborate with individuals and nonprofits in Belize to improve the quality of life for the amazing Belizean people.
After seven years of consistent growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and experienced leader to take the helm. This is a volunteer position with an expected time commitment of 10-15 hours weekly.
The Executive Director will be an ambassador for the organization and work with government agencies, like-minded non-profits, and community organizations. The Executive Director is also expected to help raise funds for our mission.
The Executive Director will bring her/his unique experiences to the role, but basic expectations are below:
Organizational Strategy
- Provide strategic leadership and vision to advance the mission of Believe in Belize.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and manage the annual budget.
- Ensure sound financial practices and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Revenue Generation, Fundraising Development, and Donor Relations
- Lead efforts to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with major donors, sponsors, and partners.
Volunteer Management
- Recruit and supervise volunteers.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Community Engagement and Advocacy
- Represent Believe in Belize in the community and advocate for the organization's mission.
