Believe in Belize is partnering with the Belizean Rotary Clubs of Placencia and Punta Gorda on shipping a 20' container in the Spring of 2025 containing about 200 bicycles and other riding equipment (helmets, pumps, etc.). With only 17% of families having access to transportation, these bicycles will help provide access to employment, education and healthcare for the people of Belize!
This project is a lead by our two volunteers, Pete Gartmann and Wendy Fritz. They live in Wisconsin, USA and will be collecting the donated bicycles and equipment in their hometown.
Exciting update for our Bikes for Belize Project
Thanks to our generous donors, and Pete and Wendy, the Bikes for Belize project is on its way towards Belize!
In early April, the bikes and bicycle supplies have been collected by Pete, Wendy and friends in Wisconsin and the container, which will be shipped to Belize for arrival in May, has been loaded.
We still need the help of donors!
