Southern Emergency Services (SES) located at the junction of Hopkins Road and Southern Highway is looking for donors to support their Medical First Responder (MFR) students. This is part of the larger goal to start to build Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in the small villages within the Districts of Stann Creek and Toledo since they have very limited/no clinics, nurses and/or real access to health care.

The MFR course costs $500 BZD ($250 USD) which includes textbook rentals and two separate certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Emergency Medical Response (EMR). Many of these students cannot afford training so they pay $100 BZD and SES raises $400 BZD through donations.

Each student takes an 8-day intensive training course and upon course completion receives a pack of medical supplies to help in their community. SES follows up with students and provides ongoing support once training is complete.

MFR certification is valid for 2 years, after that time there is a 3-day refresher course at the cost of $200BZD.

You can help by donating using PayPal or your debit/credit card below (tax deductible based on applicable US tax laws).  For other donation options (or additional information) please contact SES at SESBelize@gmail.com or Phone / WhatsApp 628-8807 (501 Belize country code) or https://www.facebook.com/sesbelize/.  Believe in Belize is providing this service as a “pass through” to SES so all donations, minus PayPal, debit & credit fees, will go directly to SES.

Thank you for your support.
